The Proposal Database Specialist/Technical Editor is responsible for writing and editing technical documentation for high-quality business proposals. The incumbent will be required to manage the implementation and maintenance of proposal documentation via Qvidian. Experience in electric, gas and water is essential as you will be required to perform the following duties:
Develop and maintain proposal content Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while working independently and with other writers. Confer with Subject Matter Experts to establish technical specifications and to review subject material. Coordinate, implement, track and reporting document change requests/updates to the Proposal Department. Interview engineering team and read material to become familiar with product technologies Version control to organize and track revision histories for all proposal content, organize and maintain all new and existing documentation for in-house review, modification, and public release. Identify RFP requirement trends and manage projects to develop new content. Support the proposal response process and Proposal Project Managers as needed. Consult with product managers to ensure that all product information in the proposal database is up-to-date. Requirements Project/Proposal management skills, including strong organizational and time management skills and be capable of working independently in a fast paced deadline driven environment. Undergraduate degree from a four-year college required. Proven record of creating and maintaining documentation control systems as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent research skills, must be able to organize ideas, and must be able to translate technical terms into text that can be understood at all levels. Superior attention to detail. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute handling multiple assignments at a time. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. 3
