The Corporate Attorney provides in-house legal counsel and guidance in the ordinary and special activities of the organization, assists and supports the interests of the corporation on corporate legal matters, works independently or in conjunction with department management and staff and uses knowledge of industry and/or professional guidelines and protocols to accomplish goals and objectives and solve complex problems. In this role, the successful candidate:
Prepares, reviews and negotiates contracts, leases, licenses, etc. Reviews statutes, rules, opinions and similar materials on a broad range of topics to identify potential legal issues and solutions. Investigates and analyzes a broad range of complex legal issues to develop and execute case assessment and strategic litigation plans, oversees outside counsel and attends mediations and settlement conferences. Coordinates subpoena responses and provides litigation support. Conducts internal investigations. Provides legal support in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, asset purchases and joint ventures. Researches state laws pertaining to professional engineering license requirements, stays abreast of changing applicable laws and processes corporate entity and professional engineering licensing registrations in appropriate jurisdictions. Respond to internal legal inquiries covering a broad range of topics and efficiently formulate guidance and responses. Drafts corporate resolutions and maintains corporate minute books. Performs all related duties, as assigned. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in:
Negotiating agreements Making accurate judgments and decisions Communicating effectively Critical thinking Education:
Juris Doctorate degree required from accredited law school.
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience. Certification/Registration:
Member in good standing of a state bar and eligible for registration to practice as in-house counsel in appropriate jurisdiction. Other Knowledge and Skills:
Commitment to integrity and ethics. Must be skilled in construction law and have familiarity with risk management and employment law. Must have knowledge of computerized legal research methods and databases. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must display excellent customer service to meet the needs and expectations of internal clients, exercise strict confidentiality in all matters, recognize business impact of legal advice and ability to work independently and adapt to changing job requirements. Must have ability to interact in a positive, respectful manner and establish cooperative working relationships. This position will be required to work on projects requiring full vaccination from COVID-19, and you will be required to show proof of vaccination or an acceptable exemption in order to work on the project. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Legal & RegulatoryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
