PPD is seeking an Associate Director, Content Strategy, to join its marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Content Strategy, this role is responsible for strategic planning and execution of content designed to engage and nurture customers through buying journey. The associate director will:
Be a strategic thinker who understands the role content plays in marketing campaigns and optimal use of channels and formats Be a talented writer and editor who can also coach others to sharpen their writing skills and output Bring a customer-focused lens to content, with a bent toward innovative and creative approaches to reach the target audience; have experience creating multiple forms of content, including white papers, blogs, case studies, ebooks, infographics, videos, audio, webinars, etc. Understand the difference and relationship between thought leadership and strategic marketing and their associated activities and messages Develop a deep understanding of customer segments, personas and journeys across the business Be comfortable working with SMEs across the organization to leverage their expertise, insights and capabilities toward meaningful content Communicate content strategy guidance within our marketing and commercial organizations and with key business stakeholders Essential Functions and Other Job Information:
Support and avdance the organizational content strategy designed to build brand awareness and engage and nurture leads and potential customers Partner across the marketing team to contribute to a holistic, integrated content Partner across the marketing team to contribute to a holistic, integrated content strategy and development process Work closely with Strategic Marketing and ABM leads to plug into campaigns and design and draft a universe of content to support objectives Edit and coach content creators to strengthen their writing skills and message development Advance data-driven storytelling and creation of foundational thought leadership Support the editorial process for content planning and creation across PPD enterprise. Leverage performance metrics and best practices to optimize content and channels Supports the research and development of content strategy guidance and best practices for all channels by creating content strategy documentation Job Qualification

Education and
Experience:

years' experience in content strategy, planning, and development 2
years' people leadership experience BA or BS required (MA/MS a plus); preference for degree in a writing-related field, such as journalism, PR, communications or marketing. Prior CRO, life sciences or pharma industry experience a plus In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent editorial judgement and strong storytelling capabilities across channels, as well as outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Experience and expertise across planning/strategy, writing/design, analytics, or technology Creative mindset with strong knowledge of current social, web and content development and emerging trends Background working in content management systems, including web content management systems, social platforms, email, and other systems. Proficient at integrating SEO keywords into copy in order to ensure content is optimized for search engines. Excellent relationship management and executive presentation skills Strong leadership and talent management skills; experience directly or indirectly growing junior team members Knowledge and experience in Life Sciences and Health Care. Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong project management, analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting skills. Management Role:

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
