3K - $46K a year 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Carillon Assisted Living is actively seeking a Best in Class Regional Dining Consultant to assist us in designing, executing and elevating the dining program for our new assisted living community brand, Calyx Living, with our first community located in beautiful North Durham and newly opening Fuquay-Varina, as well as several additional under development in the Triangle market.
As a Regional Dining Consultant, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional and memorable dining experience to our seniors.
This position will be responsible for overseeing the menu development process, ensuring food is prepared in accordance to recipes while meeting all dietary restrictions, maintaining quality service delivery through exceptional satisfaction scores, mentoring and supporting the Dining Team, and assisting in the dining service for marketing events.
Qualifications:
Excellent culinary skills and the ability to execute a variety of menus Minimum of an Associate's degree in Food Service Management or formal Culinary training Three to five years of foodservice operations experience.
Multi-site experience a plus Proficiency in basic software applications including menu development software Experience with menu development, including the creation of recipes and order guides A Serve Safe Manager's Certification Proficiency in food handling, preparation, cooking, service and operation of kitchen equipment COVID-19 vaccine and booster required Primary
Responsibilities:
Utilize the US Foods Blueprint menu management system to produce seasonal menu cycles that deliver the highest quality menus for the budget and are compliant with local regulations and resident dietary restrictions Develop menus, standardize recipes at scale and create food order guides for routine orders and special events Source and improve access to new, high quality products and fresh produce and ensure vendors add quality product options to their product offerings Manage company rebate programs to maximize financial rebate opportunities for the company Assist as needed the community Dining Services Directors with placing weekly food orders ensuring menu compliance, quality and budgetary compliance Provide routine scheduled meal preparation and serving training to community staff Provide community opening support through the training and mentoring of the dining staff Lead routine on-site QA efforts at all communities to ensure dietician-approved menus are being followed, special diet orders are followed, meal prep and sanitation meet all regulations, and assess quality and service delivery meet the corporate standards Oversee and participate in food preparation in adherence to company food standards for preparation, presentation, sanitation and safety Provide training and mentorship, promoting professional growth, and development of the dining services team at the communities.
