Responsibilities:
Daily leadership of a high-performing Deal Strategy team, responsible for overseeing and ensuring winning deal development while exercising fiscal responsibility Support Business Development (BD) goal achievement while improving strike rates and reducing loss to price metrics.
Track CRO industry trends to ensure Syneos Health is positioned as the leader in developing and executing innovative partnerships.
Listen intently to understand customer problems and needs, developing custom solutions comprised of unique service offerings which set Syneos Health apart from competitors.
Serve as key customer point of contact for large strategic deals and the escalation point for team customer interactions; attend customer face-to-face meetings when necessary.
Lead the development of high-quality deal models that incorporate complex financial and operational data to support pricing strategy and decision making; develop presentations that clearly articulate strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
Leverage data and technology to aid in deal development and decision support.
Effectively build relationships and collaborate with senior-level colleagues within Management, Business Development, Finance, Proposals and Operations; ability to navigate a large and diverse business structure.
Develop corporate policies, standards, guidelines, and training materials related to the Global Deal Strategy department.
Responsible for monitoring performance and continuous improvement of the daily operations of the Global Deal Strategy department.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).

MBA/ Advanced degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field.

years of CRO commercial finance / deal strategy experience or comparable experience from another industry with a demonstrable application to pharmaceutical services; extensive full-service clinical and FSP experience highly preferred.
5
years of experience leading and motivating high-performance teams.
Strong financial acumen Demonstrated analytical and technical skills; ability to synthesize complex and diverse inputs into a cohesive and clear solution.
Excellent communication skills; highly proficient in developing and making presentations and leading negotiations across all global regions.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Ability to lead in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $130 - $260k The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position.
Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
