Job Description:
APC is seeking an Opto-Mechanical Engineer for a permanent position with an innovative medical device company in Morrisville, NC.
This individual will design, develop, and test all aspects of robotic mechanisms and/or endoscopic vision systems.
Duties:
Applies knowledge of Mechanical
engineering
principles to design products for the robotic laparoscopic surgical market.
Duties may encompass fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or
repair
of mechanical products.
Depending on specific expertise. May be involved in robotic drive system that powers the surgical instrument motion and/or optical system packaging for a 3D endoscope used in conjunction with the robot.
The designs will be based on performance specifications, reliability goals, and DFMA best practices.
Work under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Will interface with outside design consultants and vendors.
Oversight and coaching are provided, but a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Job Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Optical Engineering.
1-5 years of experience as a product development engineer (medical related area preferred).
One or both robotic mechanism or optical packaging design desired (LED and fiber optics a plus).
Familiar with 3D CAD modeling and detailing (SolidWorks preferred).
Inventive nature and personal drive.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
