Summary: Code, test and debug software enhancements along with resolve system test and production release issues. Develop architectures that allow for flexibility of creating new enhancements effectively. Interaction across cross-functional teams within the corporation and with customers to resolve technical issues is a must. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ABILITIES: 1. Willing to tackle learning new areas of network security and the full product development lifecycle (coding, testing, QA, launch, and ongoing customer support). 2. Can independently learn and develop software solutions with little to no guidance. 3. Can multi-task across multiple projects. 4. Possesses knowledge of industry practices and standards. 5. Proficient in JAVA in multi-threading environments, as well as Unix (Solaris and Linux) and/or Windows (if proficient in only one must be willing to learn the other). 6. Familiar with computer networks and network protocols. 7. Familiar with programming UDP and TCP sockets using JAVA. 8. Must show excellent communication skills in working with others, inside and outside the company. 9. Must be able to size development efforts for their work or a small team of work. 10. Occasional travel to customer site. JOB
