Overton Distributors, now FreshPoint Raleigh, Charlotte and Nashville, is a seventy-two year old full-line fresh fruit and vegetable foodservice distributor. FreshPoint Raleigh covers central and eastern North Carolina, plus parts of coastal South Carolina with three to six day service. All facilities are Cook and Thurber approved centers operating under HACCP guidelines. We are the primary supplier to many of the top restaurants, hotels and other fine eating establishments throughout the Carolinas. FreshPoint Raleigh offers a full line of conventional, specialty, and local produce as well as a comprehensive dairy offering.
This is a marketing associate position responsible for growing and sustaining market shares in the Triad region by satisfying customer needs and meeting management objectives.
This position will be based in Raleigh, but but should live in :
Greensboro, NC; Winston Salem, NC; and High Point, NC.

Essential Duties
Develop and maintain new accounts in assigned territory.
Identify customer needs and satisfy them profitably.
Maintain existing customer base through effective customer service skills.
Identify lost/split customers and inform manager.
Follow through with customer requests.
Maintain open communications with other Marketing Associates.
Introduce new items to customers.
Up-sell product in excess inventory.
Input orders into computer system when necessary.
Adhere to operational procedures i.e.: special orders and delivery cutoffs .
Attend sales department and other OpCo meetings as scheduled.
Good attendance and adherence to work schedule required: i.e.: work rotating on call Saturday rotation
Send daily scorecards and weekly sales reports.
Meet prospecting, customer sales calls, daily requirements / objectives.
Observes all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies in an effort to reduce accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.
Strictly adhere to company Proper Work Techniques and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures at all times without exception.
Perform any additional tasks as directed by management personnel.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND FUNCTIONS

Job Requirements
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
a) High School Diploma or equivalent required with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
b) One or more years of warehouse, sales and purchasing experience, preferably in a produce industry.
c) Commitment to ethical conduct principles associated with the handling of our business.
d) Strong computer literacy skills with the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as field related hardware and software packages and systems for reporting features.
e) Must be able to plan and organize work activities; communicate effectively both orally and written; analyze and disseminate numerical data; manage work time efficiently; follow procedures and policies; develop and follow a schedule; identify and solve problems.
f) Clean driving record including: no single DUI in the last 3 years and no multiple DUIs within the last 10 years .
g) No chargeable accidents within last three 3 years.
h) Maintain Sysco Personal Auto Limits.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
a) Sit / stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, turn body and walk.
b) Handle and feel objects and/or equipment controls; reach with hands and arms.
c) Finger dexterity for activities such as data entry and calculator use, grasping, repetitive motions, speaking, hearing, visual acuity, and mobility between departments.
d) Must have the ability to talk and hear; must be able to hear warning horns on moving machinery and equipment.
e) Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close and distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
f) Must exhibit a high level of endurance, energy, and strength to successfully perform in the position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, an associate regularly works near moving mechanical apparatus and is regularly exposed to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working is done on concrete flooring. Some duties are performed in the warehouse and will require work to be done in varying climates. Temperatures range from zero in the coolers to 95 degrees Fahrenheit or above outdoors. The shift end-time fluctuates with the employer's daily needs. The associate occasionally works in high and precarious places.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
