Vehicle Description A beautiful restoration and refurbishment of a 1966 C code Mustang with a newly professionally rebuilt V-8 engine, 4 Spd.
MANUAL transmission and only 3875 miles since completion.
Between 2013 and 2015 this car underwent a fully photo and receipt documented, professional restoration and rebuild.
This Mustang coupe was stripped to bare metal and disassembled for its complete restoration.
Originally dark blue with a blue interior, the car not only now has beautiful, professional paint and body work but features many performance upgrades and improvements accented by tasteful and well done cosmetic touches.
The engine was completely rebuilt to specifications with aluminum heads, headers, a new cam shaft, new pistons, bearings, roller rockers, upgraded flywheel etc.

At the same time the rear differential was refurbished, the transmission was rebuilt, A Hurst shifter was added and a new SPEC clutch, pressure plate and release bearing were installed.
With the newly balanced engine now producing 400 hp, the cooling system was improved with an aluminum radiator as well an electronic fuel injection system from Fast Fuel was added to the car to replace the original 4 barrel carburetor.
Adding the programmable EFI system not only makes the car perform better but allows personalized tuning from the handheld device which is included with the car.
A new electronic distributor was also added and works in conjunction with the EFI system.
Changing from a carburetor to an electronic fuel injection system also required a brand new fuel tank, fuel sending unit, fuel pump and all of the fuel lines to be replaced.
Since the car originally had a blue interior the entire interior had to be replaced with new.
This included seat covers and seat foams, A new steering wheel and horn ring, sunvisors, rear package tray, glove box, dash top, door panels, headliner, carpet set & mats, dashboard, glove box, console, seatbelts and more.
The original instrument panel was replaced with a Speed Hut custom panel which which looks like the original but includes analog white faced Tachometer, Speedometer, oil pressure gauge, voltmeter, temperature and fuel gauges including all new sending units and a complete new wiring harness.
Also added was a Retrosound, period looking sound system though upgraded with better speakers and the ability to accept an auxiliary input from your phone to add to it AM/FM capabilities.
After the professional paint and body work were completed and the new interior was installed the car was updated with new chrome bumpers, window and wheel opening trims, mirrors, badges, rocker moldings, emblems and then fully re-weatherstripped.
A new trunk lining kit and tire cover were also added.
Other improvements included new blower switch, washer pump, washer bag hoses and tips, wiper arms, new lamps and lenses, new leaf springs and shocks as well as an idler arm, transmission and motor mounts and a new transmission crossmember.
The braking system was redone with all new hard lines, flexible lines, master cylinder, etc.
All together a beautifully restored and upgraded mustang coupe in excellent rust free condition with many performance and cosmetic upgrades right down to it matching set of 205 /70 radial TA's mounted to new chrome wheels, center caps & lug nuts.
All instruments and systems are working properly and the car is extremely strong running, powerful, shifts beautifully, drives very well and looks like no other.
