Vehicle Description A beautiful, rust free, fully restored, rare 1966 Triumph TR4 A with Factory Surrey top.
Recently acquired from a long-term Triumph enthusiast, this very rare factory Surrey top TR4 A is beautifully documented from its complete repaint in 2014 to its complete engine and transmission rebuild in the same year.
The professional engine rebuild included custom head work, custom ground camshaft, timing chains, new pistons and liners, bearings, rear main seal conversion, a new oil pump and much more.
While the engine was being rebuilt the transmission was also completely rebuilt with new synchronizers and resealed as well the carburetors both being rebuilt.
Reinstalled with a header and a custom exhaust system, the car runs extremely well.
Many other services were provided and documented including new clutch and brake master cylinder's, an emergency / secondary hood release, spin on oil conversion, PerTronics electronic ignition, Lucas super coil, new shocks, poly bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints as well as a fully replaced wiring harness.
The car is also filled with new front and rear chrome bumpers, five wire wheels fitted with new radials, a new clutch slave and braided stainless steel wine, all new cooling hoses, chrome valve cover, new modern inertia reel 3 point seatbelts and a custom wood dashboard (though the original dash is included.
) The seat covers are real leather on new seat foams and professionally installed with a new set of panels front and rear to match.
The Surrey top is in very good condition The car also has all of his books and documentation available with it.
A very unique, beautifully restored and improved, difficult to find TR 4A.
